LOCATION: Marysville, WA

JOB TITLE: Youth Development Professional

REPORTS TO: Unit Director


SCHEDULE: Part-time

Morning shift (6-9) roughly 12-15 hours a week
Split shifts (6-9 | 3-6) roughly 25-30 hours a week


JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Unit Director, the Youth Development Professional is responsible for helping to implement a variety of programs and activities that lead to three priority outcomes for youth: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship. Youth Development Professionals work with youth and create an environment that is safe and fun while helping members build confidence and skills.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans and implements activities for youth that give them a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competence, utilizing existing curriculum from Boys & Girls Clubs of America in addition to local initiatives.
  • Manages program supplies and equipment.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness of program area.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment.
  • Ability to incorporate organizational values of Fun, Respect, Integrity, Community, and Acceptance into all practices.
  • Prior experience working with youth preferred.
