Distribution & Rental Services
Salary $60,000–$65,000 base salary plus Commission + Benefits

Our client, a well-established player in the rental services space, is seeking a Business Development Manager with a strong focus on new business development and revenue generation. This sales role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships from the ground up and converting opportunities into long-term clients.

While relationship management is part of the role, the primary mandate is to identify, pursue, and close new business across events, production, and commercial rental markets.

The Role

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, and industry engagement
  • Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to close and client onboarding
  • Develop tailored proposals and pricing aligned with client needs and project scope
  • Collaborate closely with Operations and Logistics to ensure seamless execution post-sale
  • Maintain and grow newly won accounts, focusing on repeat business and long-term value
  • Attend industry events, site visits, and client meetings to drive visibility and generate leads
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue and activity targets

The Ideal Candidate

  • 2–5+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally within rentals, events, creative services, logistics, or a service minded B2B environment
  • Proven track record of generating net-new business and closing deals
  • Strong prospecting ability with confidence in cold outreach and relationship building
  • Comfortable in a performance-driven, commission-based environment with excellent earning potential
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision-makers
  • Highly self-motivated, competitive, and resilient with a proactive mindset
  • Experience in fast-paced, target-based environments is a strong asset
