Giatec Scientific Inc. (Giatec) is looking for a Manager, Business Development to join our Global Sales team, reporting to the Vice President, Sales. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team of business development professionals, generating new and expansion sales opportunities. The role will lead our business development function to generate significant revenue pipeline for our sales teams, from new business to expanding our footprint with our current customers. Simply put, we are looking for someone to lead a team of SDRs and BDRs to drum up as much business as possible.We prefer the successful candidate for this hybrid role be located in the Ottawa area.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge our primary customers' pains, our products and solutions, and how to effectively communicate our value.
  • Hire, onboard, develop, and lead a team of high-performing, inclusive, and coachable sales and business development professionals responsible generating revenue opportunities.
  • A strong coach that understands how to improve team members' skill set and level of execution.
  • Ensure achievement of all performance objectives including pipeline and revenue goals for both new and expansion business.
  • Create, implement, and monitor sales activities, analyze results, identify gaps, and implement solutions to address issues or concerns, while improving sales training, and developing proper segmentation of customers.
  • In partnership with the Vice President, Sales, identify opportunities for new market penetration, customer expansion, and prospecting methods.
  • Ability to carry out presentations and demonstrations to stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute public speaking engagements at events as needed.
  • Travel to attend trade shows as needed.
    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A proven track record of leading business development leadership, ideally including experience with concrete producers, concrete, and/or construction preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales and/or business development experience, with at least 1 of which spent in management/leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English. Additional languages are an asset.
  • Ability to travel within Canada, USA, and the UK.
  • Ability to thrive in environments where change is constant, fast-paced, and often with strict deadlines.
  • "Growth hacker" or creative, results-oriented mindset with the ability to get stuff done.
  • Honest, caring, and candid communication style to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Humility, a willingness to share the credit and receive / consider new ideas from others.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience with our tech stack (or similar): LinkedIn Sales Nav, Zoominfo, Outreach, Salesforce, Dodge, Kennected, and MS Office among others.
