Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Sales Operations & Business Development Coordinator to support our Director of Sales & Business Development in Washington, DC.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work. The position sits at the center of sales execution, client engagement, and business development operations, supporting both Market Intelligence product sales and global event-related activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Key responsibilities Sales Operations & Client Support
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Director of Sales & Business Development across client interactions and sales processes
  • Manage and maintain Salesforce opportunities, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, tracking, and pipeline visibility
  • Prepare booking forms, coordinate invoice requests, and track payments in collaboration with Finance and internal teams
  • Draft and manage client communications, including follow-ups and coordination emails
  • Monitor and manage inbound general sales inboxes, including:
    • Market Intelligence product inquiries
    • Event sponsorship requests
    • Route, respond to, and track in-bound inquiries in a timely and professional manner
External Event Coordination (Business Development-Focused)
  • Own and maintain the external events calendar (third-party industry events), ensuring it is 100% up to date with:
    • Event details
    • Confirmed attendees (as determined by Sales leadership and CEO)
    • Key logistics and notes
    • Coordinate internal communications related to external event participation, including:
      • Monthly and ad hoc updates to attendees and leadership
      • Notifications to internal teams and Communications to support visibility and promotion
      • Ensure alignment across stakeholders on attendance and participation
      • Track and follow up with attendees to ensure completion of:
        • Event Meeting debrief documents
        • Conference summaries and key takeaways
    • Organize and maintain centralized storage of external event-related materials (presentations, debriefs, notes) within SharePoint
Business Development Meeting Coordination
  • Coordinate business development meetings for select large-scale industry events (approximately 5–6 annually), including:
    • Scheduling meetings for internal attendees
    • Managing calendars and availability
    • Supporting meeting logistics and coordination
    • Assist in ensuring a structured approach to meeting tracking and follow-up
Qualifications
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including document organization, version control, and cross-team collaboration
  • Fluency in English required; additional languages (e.g., French) are a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 2–5 years of experience in sales operations, business development, or a similar coordination role
  • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Monday.com, or email marketing platforms is a plus
