Business Development

Summary:

The Business Development employee will represent Hydro Resources in a defined region. They will develop relationships and sell Water Well Drilling, Pump and related Services to existing and new customers in the Agricultural, Municipal, Industrial, Mining, Geothermal and Energy markets. The current target market for this position includes Texas Consulting Engineers, Water Utilities and Municipalities, Mining, Energy and Agricultural Clients. In this position, the Business Development employee has the flexibility to work remotely but will periodically travel to Hydro regional offices, attend meetings to promote proposals, conduct construction site visits, and represent Hydro Resources at trade shows and conferences.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities for Hydro Resources through diligent contact with existing and new clients.
  • Serves as client contact to understand project requirements and tailor our offer to those requirements.
  • Professional proposal preparation.
  • Face-to-face presentation of proposal and closing of transaction with the client.
  • Contract negotiation.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned, individually and as part of a larger team.
  • Provide focused attention for adapting our service offering to meet the needs of the market.
  • Travel to new market areas assigned to help define forward expansion opportunities.
  • Serve as Account Manager, working with clients throughout all phases of a contract.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of Water Well Construction and Pumps (Municipal, Agricultural, Irrigation, etc.)
  • Minimum 3-5 Years’ experience in Water Well and Pump Industry Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent selling, negotiating, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated understanding of sales process and ability to close business.
  • Possesses a successful sales achievement record.
  • Good knowledge of IFP, RFP, RFQ and contract language.
  • Self-Motivated independent thinker.
