Job description

Overview
Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Associate!
The Business Development Associate will support the Engagement Team manager who will serve as the single point of contact responsible for supporting name, major, national and Fortune 1000 accounts within respective market to drive consistent messaging, guidance and support for the Direct Sales Organization within Konica Minolta.
The main responsibilities of this position will be to conduct client research to support pre-sales and ongoing sales efforts and to help align client initiatives to the Konica Minolta Value Proposition. The BDA is responsible for support materials for 1st in and PAR slide deck (Including Company overview on target and case examples of potential value impact areas). Additionally, the BDA will support the team review process to ensure consistent messaging, CRM data collection and proposal support for the sales teams.
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Engagement Team in preparing deliverables to help identify opportunities for Konica Minolta customer's ongoing and future needs.
  • Support pre-sales activities by conducting requested research; customer needs assessments and assisting with proposal development and client presentations.
  • Assist in post-sales support and customer implementations in designated market.
  • Support the engagement team to help roll out services and solutions based upon programs approved by the Business Intelligence Division.
  • Use CRM, internal operation systems and other internet-based research tools, including social media to conduct effective research (i.e. Utilize DandB in CRM, LinkedIn.com, glassdoor.com, insideview.com, indeed.com and client websites - 10Ks, annual reports, strategic plans, etc.)
  • Ensure Account Research is reviewed and approved by Engagement Team Manager prior to uploading it into CRM as completed tasks. Once completed, alert ETM for sales team communication
  • As needed, communicate with the Project Coordinator to ensure tasks and projects are completed timely
  • Create Support Materials as needed, and provide support on customer implementations
  • Participate in all weekly sessions of the engagement team reviews at the branches and document meeting review notes and research findings in CRM during review sessions
  • Assist with proposal development and client presentations for 1st In apt and PAR's for all accounts supported by the Engagement Team
  • Assist the Engagement Team in preparing deliverables to help identify opportunities for Konica Minolta customer's ongoing and future needs; ie. Konica Minolta Marketing collateral, case studies, etc.
  • Complete 2 self-paced learning/training sessions via Konica Minolta Learning (2 hours per week minimum).
  • Meet with the Engagement Team Manager and MVP weekly/monthly to ensure plan and goals are met, and to review process and feedback for process improvement
  • As needed, support the engagement team to help roll out services and solutions based upon programs
  • Participating Areas:
    • Research and Development
    • Pre-sales Planning
    • Sales Engagements
    • Support on customer implementations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in business development.
  • Knowledge of industry hardware, services and solutions is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of CRM system and internet research
  • Basic knowledge of post-sales support, proposal development and client presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of internal and external organizations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
