The Role

As a Business Development Director, you will focus on building relationships and creating connections that lead to long-term client partnerships.

This includes:

  • Developing trusted relationships with centers of influence (CPAs, attorneys, and other advisors)
  • Engaging with business owners, families, and institutional clients navigating complex financial decisions
  • Introducing prospective clients to our team-based, integrated approach

You will play a key role in expanding the firm’s network and helping the right clients find the right advisory relationship.

What You’ll DoRelationship Development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with centers of influence
  • Develop connections within the business owner, UHNW, and institutional community
  • Establish trust with prospective clients over time
Client Introduction & Engagement
  • Lead initial conversations with prospective clients
  • Understand their needs, goals, and current advisory structure
  • Introduce them to our collaborative team and approach
Event & Network Engagement
  • Participate in and follow up on firm-hosted learning events
  • Cultivate relationships through personal and professional networks
  • Maintain consistent communication with key contacts
Collaboration
  • Work closely with advisors and tax professionals to ensure a smooth client experience
  • Help transition new relationships into long-term partnerships with the firm
What We’re Looking ForExperience
  • Background in wealth management, private banking, institutional consulting, or relationship-driven business development
  • Experience working with business owners, families, or institutional clients (family offices, foundations, endowments) preferred
Skillset
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building ability
  • Natural connector with high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to navigate complex financial conversations
  • Organized and consistent in follow-up and communication
Licensing
  • Series 65 (or ability to obtain within 90 days) preferred
  • CFP® or similar designation is a plus, not required
