Business Development Representative
Territory: Winnebago and Outagamie Counties

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to cultivate relationships throughout Winnebago and Outagamie Counties and expand awareness of Unity Hospice services. This position serves as a key liaison between Unity and healthcare providers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, discharge planners, and community organizations. Through relationship-building, education, and strategic outreach, you will play an important role in supporting patients and families by connecting them with compassionate hospice care when they need it most.
Schedule: Full-time, salaried role working Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
What you'll do:
The Business Development Representative cultivates business partnerships, generating hospice referral growth by making effective sales contacts, calls and presentations. Our Business Development Representative serves as the agency staff representative with physicians, facilities, discharge planners and community agencies. This person is responsible for the overall development and referral growth of assigned territory.
  • Maintain regular, in person contact with assigned accounts and respond promptly to requests and/or concerns.
  • Initiate contact with clinical and community leaders to bring awareness to and introduce Unity Hospice services.
  • Gain commitment from referral sources to be their preferred provider of hospice and palliative care services.
  • Report customer/partner concerns to Unity leadership and collaborate to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate, represent, and network on behalf of Unity at community events, provider events, and professional networking meetings.
  • Identify and recommend areas of opportunity for Unity where community and clinical partnerships may be enhanced.
  • Continually strengthen understanding of the local competitive landscape.
  • Provide and/or coordinate annual in-services for assigned accounts and community partners.
  • Promote and provide Speakers Bureau education to all audiences.
  • Assist in the development of outreach materials.
  • Participate in internal work groups relative to position responsibilities.

A bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of successful sales, business development, marketing, or healthcare outreach experience. Healthcare, hospice, home health, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other clinical sales experience is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working independently throughout the assigned territory.
