A business continuity planner develops and documents strategies for business recovery in the event of a natural disaster or catastrophic event. A large component of these strategies is the recovery of computer software, information systems, and other business related technology. As a business continuity planner, you work with management to define the business processes that must remain uninterrupted until full recovery is achieved and provide training resources to employees to ensure data is regularly backed up offsite.
