Invite a friend Back to job search Job Description: CNC Burn Table Operator (Multiple Shifts Available) Pennsylvania Steel Company Birmingham, AL We are seeking CNC Burn Table Operators to join our Birmingham, Alabama Division of Pennsylvania Steel Company. About Us: Pennsylvania Steel is one of the largest independently owned Steel Service Centers in the U.S., with 12 locations from Connecticut to Alabama. We're proud of our 53-year legacy and the people who drive it forward every day

We are hiring for multiple shifts on a full time, permanent basis. Main Duties/Responsibilities: Operate CNC-controlled burn table to cut steel plate and sheet metal according to job specifications. Load and unload material using material handling equipment.

Interpret work orders, blueprints, and CAD files to set up machine parameters. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments necessary to ensure quality and accuracy. Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.

Fulfill work orders involving order pulling, part marking, and packaging. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all workplace safety policies and procedures. Other assignments as directed.

Experience and Skills: Skills Required & Physical Demands: Proficient in Windows-based software and CNC control interfaces. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of decimals, fractions, and basic trigonometry.

Proficient with tape measures, calipers, and other measuring tools. Comfortable working in an industrial setting around machinery, overhead cranes, and moving equipment. Able to stand, bend, and lift throughout a full shift, including regular lifting over 50 lbs.
