Position Overview

BlueGreen Water Technologies is seeking a highly self-driven and commercially focused Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to lead global revenue growth.

This is a highly hands-on executive role for a proven business builder and dealmaker who can personally originate, develop, negotiate, and close strategic commercial opportunities. The successful candidate will leverage an established network across carbon markets, climate finance, environmental commodities, sustainability organizations, utilities, governments, and corporate buyers to accelerate revenue growth and market adoption.

The CRO will be responsible for identifying and commercializing new revenue streams, expanding BlueGreen's presence in carbon and environmental markets, and building long-term strategic partnerships that generate measurable business and environmental impact.


Responsibilities:
  • Own global revenue, generating contracts and pipelines with a total value of $5-10 million within the first year. Forecast accuracy, with full accountability and achieving multi-year growth targets through hands-on execution.
  • Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and contribute to the company's growth strategy and commercial direction.
  • Develop commercial models, pricing strategies, and value propositions that drive customer adoption and long-term revenue growth.
  • Lead Go-To-Market execution for priority regions, customer segments, and solution offerings.
  • Develop relationships with carbon credit buyers, sustainability executives, carbon funds, project developers, climate-finance institutions, and environmental market stakeholders.
  • Identify and commercialize opportunities across carbon credits, carbon removal, environmental commodities, nature-based solutions, and sustainability programs.
  • Structure and negotiate carbon offtake agreements, environmental outcome contracts, and strategic commercial partnerships.
  • Drive market penetration in new and existing geographies.
  • Monitor customer needs, market trends, competitor activity, and procurement behavior to identify and capture growth opportunities.
  • Close high-value commercial agreements with enterprise, government, or strategic customers.
  • Develop revenue-generating pathways linked to environmental outcomes and sustainability programs

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental or equivalent- An advanced degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience as a CRO.
  • 5+ years of experience in carbon trading or an equivalent position in the carbon industry.
  • Strong understanding of the carbon market, executive-level network and direct access to decision-makers across carbon credit buyers, sustainability leaders, carbon funds, climate-finance institutions, environmental markets, corporate ESG organizations, utilities, and government agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to directly access, engage, and close commercial agreements with carbon credit buyers and corporate sustainability decision-makers.
  • Proven experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies across multiple carbon market segments, including corporate buyers, carbon funds, climate-finance institutions, project developers, utilities, and government organizations.
  • Strong network of decision-makers across the voluntary and compliance carbon markets.
  • Proven track record of originating and closing carbon-related commercial transactions
  • Proven track record of building and scaling new business activities, markets, or commercial operations from the ground up.
  • Experience working with government agencies, municipalities, utilities, regulators, or other public-sector organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent English verbal and writing.
  • Experience commercializing innovative technology, environmental, infrastructure, SaaS, or sustainability solutions.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for market intelligence, business development, and strategic planning.
