We provide our customers with products and services that deliver access to markets, optimize their energy portfolio, hedge risk and manage assets. Our Wholesale Business operates throughout the value chain in the North American wholesale power markets and we are one of the leading wholesale natural gas marketers. Additionally, we provide environmental, congestion management and value added derivative products. With extensive pipeline agreements, we can manage natural gas offtakes, deliveries, capacities and supply anywhere across the continent. Job Description: Responsible for executing trades within short timeframes, often within the same trading day. The primary goal is to optimize the value, and manage risk of the portfolio of assets managed by EDFT in assigned region.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage energy portfolio for assigned desk/region
  • Execute orders/trades for assigned markets
  • May launch market research and data analysis
  • Capture market opportunities based on real-time positions and analysis of market conditions
  • Respond to and manage unexpected events or emergencies that may impact gas/power supply, taking appropriate actions to mitigate risk and minimise disruptions
  • Analyze market conditions and develop trading strategies to optimize portfolio performance
  • Monitor and manage trading risks
  • Monitor market trends and prepare daily reports
  • May participate in the development of more complex trading strategies
  • Monitor energy markets, and analyse market conditions, news, and trends to identify potential trading opportunities
  • Ensure all activities comply with trading regulations and market rules
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications
