Job description

Lincoln Contracting & Equipment is seeking a CNC burn table operator to operate a computer numerical control (CNC) burn table to cut steel and other metals according to specifications. Must be able to read and understand blueprints, program the burn table, load materials, and inspect the finished product for accuracy and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Step up and operate the burn table, which includes selecting the correct burning tip and gas setting.
  • Load and unload the materials using a crane.
  • Position and guide workpieces to the correct specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Measure workpiece dimensions for accuracy.
  • Perform quality control inspections on finished products.

Education and/or Experience

  • Vocational/technical training and a high school diploma or general education degree with work experience in industrial manufacturing are needed.
