Job description

Job Title: Plant Operator

Overview: Working with Plant Supervisor on all aspects of Production

Safety Expectations: The consultant is required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, consultants and others.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:
•Load and Unload liquid materials into tankers and bulk storage tanks
• Keep workplace clean and organized
• Operate forklift and other equipment when needed
• Run errands and pick up supplies when needed
• Ability to follow direction
• Performing other duties around the emulsion plant as required
• Record inventories, run sheets and inspections daily.
• Operating and maintaining valves, pumps, hand/power tools and cutting grass around the facility
• Painting, sweeping, shoveling
• Working overtime and on weekends when needed
• Work from heights and in confined spaces (cleaning out bulk storage tanks)
Requirements:
• OSHA 10 Hour Safety Certificate
• Passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conducted
• High school diploma or GED is preferred
• Reliable transportation to and from work site
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, read a tape measure and be good in basic math
• Strong work ethic, self-starter and the willingness to help out the team
• Must have a clean motor-vehicle record
