Reporting to theProduction Supervisor - Manufacturing & Operations thePlant Bulk Coordinator's responsibilities will include preparing paperwork for bulk loads from assigning trailer compartments to completing driver paperwork for offloading at customer sites. Closing the bulk sales orders and providing copies of the bills of lading to accounts receiving.

This role is the backup to the receiving clerk responsible for incoming bulk and LTL raw materials and the paperwork and computer entries as required. The Plant Bulk Coordinator is responsible for training incoming drivers around preparing bulk trailers to load and completing forklift for potential new hires.

This is an onsite role in our ChemTreat facility in Eldridge, IA.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift. Overtime or Weekends may be required.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

  • Assign trailer compartments for bulk loads within the maximum axle weight limits.
  • Prepares all bulk load paperwork for production, bulk loader, QC, and driver for each load to include Certificate of Analysis requests, NSF stamp, and any other special request from the customer. Distributes this paperwork to each department at the plant.
  • Prepares barcodes and seals for each compartment and transferring that information to the BOL's. Prints the BOL's and fact sheets, CofA's and any other special requests by the customer for each product to complete the driver's packets.
  • Close the sales orders, scan and send copies of each BOL to accounts receiving.
  • Backup Bulk loader
  • Backup to the receiving/shipping associate when out of the plant or as needed to receive and offload bulk raw materials, LTL raw materials and all paper and computer entries required.
  • Verifying PO's with product lot number and preparing paperwork for QC.
  • Track waste water on hand and schedule pickups with our vendors as needed.
  • Training yard drivers how to complete pre-inspections, tag and placard bulk trailer prior to production loading.
  • Responsible for housekeeping and 5S is the above areas.

Supplemental Responsibilities

  • Maintain general housekeeping duties that provide for a neat, safe, and clean work area.
  • Maintain environmental, health and safety documentation as it relates to EPA compliance, OSHA requirements, and ChemTreat, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Follow appropriate EHS procedures and policy which may include the identification and proper handling of hazardous waste and file incident reports for work related incidents and near misses.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • High /School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 1 years of experience with applicable paperwork.

It would be an asset if you have:

  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and basic mathematics.
  • Knowledge of EPA compliance and OSHA requirements
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Technical, Analytical skills and business knowledge
  • Communication and Interpersonal skills

Working Conditions and Environment

  • This is a specialty chemical blending and packaging facility where hazardous materials are present.
  • Will be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures and work space restrictions.
  • Required to wear the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which may include: eye, hearing and respiratory protection, protective apron, steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hats, or face shields.
  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
  • Contact lenses may not be allowed in some areas.

The compensation range for this role is $30 - $30 USD per hour.
