Job description

Are you on a mission to create games that bond players together into deeply invested communities? Would you like to work on something comedic with lighthearted and whimsical characters? And are you excited to build the systems and tools to help others create a rich, innovative game?

As a Senior Gameplay Engineer - Gameplay Tools on teamLFG, you'll help build the bridge between the engine and our content creators, empowering them to create the game in an online environment that is robust, performant, and sustainable. Most importantly, you will work with a fun, dedicated, and cross-discipline team devoted to turning a creative dream into a new franchise at PlayStation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain production-quality gameplay systems, workflows, and tools in C++ on Unreal 5 with minimal oversight

Provide technical guidance to teammates on how to build code and content to work nicely with our simulation and network model

Collaborate daily with the content creators and engine team to define and develop the blocks used by the content team to build the game

REQUIRED SKILLS

Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in C++

Ability to communicate with stakeholders of different technical and non-technical backgrounds to help them navigate technology and achieve their goals

Experience building designer- and artist-facing components and tools

Experience with development using the Unreal Engine
