Namaste Solar As an employee-owned cooperative, a Certified B Corp, and one of the longest-running solar companies in Colorado, we believe that business can be a force for good in our economies and our communities.

Join our team and use your sales skills to help educate homeowners on how to reduce their carbon footprint by putting solar on their homes. This position requires a unique combination of technical & communication skills and takes a consultative/educational approach to the sale of PV solar and storage systems. This is a non-commission role, and our Sales and Design Specialists love working on a team that is collaborative, supportive, and thoughtful.

This role is currently a hybrid model of working from home/office. Most customer meetings are held via video conference or phone. You also can work from either our Longmont or Denver office locations. Occasional in-home customer visits may be required.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Use your sales skills to educate homeowners on the benefits of installing solar and battery storage on their home. This fast paced, exciting position provides exceptional growth potential for a self-motivated team player. This position requires a unique combination of technical & communication skills and takes a consultative approach to the sale of PV solar systems and battery storage systems. This is a non-commission role, and the applicant should love working on a team in a collaborative environment within our democratically run Cooperative.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and sell residential PV solar systems and battery storage
  • Use a consultative sales and design approach to help meet project goals of the
  • Prepare proposals for potential customers and present the benefits via video conference or
  • Manage your sales pipeline and log all customer communication using Salesforce
  • Prepare purchase agreements and take the customer through the closing
  • Set expectations with the customer and educate them on the installation process and
  • Communicate with Residential Operations to effectively handoff projects for
  • Collaborate effectively with the Sales Team and other
  • Exchange knowledge, share best practices, and be open to giving and receiving
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Outstanding communication and follow-up
  • Experience providing excellent customer
  • Practice self-awareness, accountability, confidence, and poise while juggling numerous tasks and responsibilities.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with experience managing a large
  • Understand financial calculations and how to present those concepts to customers, (ROI, IRR, NPV).
  • Team player in a collaborative rather than competitive sales team
  • Proficient with computers, Salesforce & Microsoft Office
NON-ESSENTIAL (Valued but not required skills and experience):
  • Ability to read and understand architectural

  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience, or Engineering
  • SEI Solar PV courses, and/or COSEIA
