Job Summary
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides essential support to underwriters, agents, customers, and internal teams across both commercial and personal lines and will be a key part of our Specialty Brokerage Services (SBS) team in Ohio.
Integrated Specialty Coverages (ISC) acquired Specialty Brokerage Services (SBS), a Columbus-based wholesale brokerage, in January 2026. SBS is well known for its strong personal and commercial lines capabilities, deep carrier relationships, and long-standing reputation for service excellence. This CSR will join a growing wholesale business unit, as SBS adds immediate depth to ISC's offerings, including a niche in high-value personal lines that complements ISC's exclusive homeowners programs.
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional service, ensuring accurate processing, and maintaining efficient communication while developing a strong understanding of carrier guidelines and internal procedures. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced Property & Casualty wholesale environment.
Candidates considered for this role should ideally be located in the Columbus, Ohio Jacksonville, FL or Orlando, FL areas and be comfortable working remotely with occasional short-distance travel as needed.
Position Responsibilities
  • Support new business and renewal underwriters, agents, customers, and internal staff across commercial and personal lines.
  • Respond to agent inquiries via phone, email, and other communication channels, offering guidance and information on commercial lines products.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service in the daily servicing of new and renewal business.
  • Provide clerical support, quoting assistance, and other administrative activities as needed.
  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain working knowledge of carrier coverage forms, automation systems, eligibility requirements, and program details.
  • Adhere to customer service standards outlined in procedure manuals, process documents, and leadership directives.
  • Document all relevant activity within the Agency Management System.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of insurance experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Property & Casualty Insurance License within 90 days of employment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond professionally to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, andbusiness partners.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively to management and external groups.
  • Ability to provide fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical business situations.
  • Proficiency with email, record-keeping systems, databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and related office software.
  • Above-average knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Valid Driver's License

The starting hourly pay scale for this position is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, training, and experience. ISC's salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
