As a Client Tax Operations Associate in Brokerage Operations, you play a vital role in supporting accurate United States information reporting and withholding processes for our clients. You analyze data, execute controls, and help identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process enhancements and automation. Working closely with partners across teams, you help deliver reliable outcomes and a strong client experience.

Job responsibilities
  • Analyze financial and transactional data relevant to United States information reporting and withholding
  • Build and maintain reports that monitor data accuracy, timeliness, and exceptions
  • Identify trends and discrepancies, document findings, and recommend remediation actions
  • Execute standardized workflows for cost basis processing and related reconciliations
  • Perform daily controls, manage exceptions, and resolve breaks with clear audit trails
  • Track key performance indicators and service level commitments and escalated risks as needed
  • Apply applicable tax rules and industry standards to support ongoing compliance
  • Support automation and process improvement initiatives by drafting queries, assisting with workflow design, and participating in testing
  • Reconcile data across systems, investigate root causes of discrepancies, and implement preventive actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to communicate insights, changes, and operational updates
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering intelligent automation and business analysis or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including functions, lookups, and pivot tables
  • Ability to learn data analytics and automation tools such as Alteryx and SQL
  • Ability to analyze datasets, identify exceptions, and document findings clearly with attention to detail
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and maintain well-controlled execution with clear evidence and audit trails
  • Ability to prioritize daily deliverables, manage exceptions, and elevate appropriately
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for partnering across teams
  • Commitment to learning and applying changing regulatory or policy requirements relevant to the role
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and intellectual curiosity

  • Experience supporting United States tax operations, information reporting, withholding, or cost basis processing
