About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to lead field operations, mentor job site foremen, and drive the successful execution of our bridge and structural projects. As a key leader in our production team, you will ensure projects are built safely, on schedule, and within budget, serving as the critical bridge between field operations, project management, and estimators.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safety & Quality Leadership: Cultivate an uncompromising culture of job site safety and high-quality craftsmanship, enforcing strict OSHA compliance across all sites.
  • Operational Planning & Execution: Coordinate initial job setup, establish critical-path project schedules, and manage daily field operations from mobilization to final inspection.
  • Resource & Equipment Allocation: Partner with Dispatch, Equipment Managers, and fellow Superintendents to optimize heavy equipment utilization, tool management, and lowboy transport schedules.
  • Crew Management & Mentorship: Direct and counsel site foremen, oversee crew compositions, and foster a team-oriented, high-performance work environment.
  • Cost Control & Performance: Review daily production reports and labor costs alongside Project Managers to identify efficiencies and protect project margins.
  • Stakeholder & Subcontractor Coordination: Serve as a primary point of contact for project owners, inspectors, area managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on supervisory experience in heavy civil construction, specifically focused on bridge building and structural concrete. Proven background serving as a Bridge Foreman.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced ability to read and interpret complex structural plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
  • Software Competency: Proficient in standard construction management software, digital daily reporting tools, and basic Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certifications: Active OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications required.
  • Leadership: Strong problem-solving capabilities, adaptable under changing field priorities, with demonstrated success coaching and motivating diverse field crews.
  • Travel: This position requires oversight and travel to all projects and counties that are part of the North Bridge Division Footprint
