We have a current opening for a Prefab Supervisor at our Irving, TX office.


Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

Lead a culture of safety and efficiency in our Prefabrication Department

  • Work safely, promote safety, and actively support a safe work environment and culture.
  • Ensure the proper tools and equipment are being used for the task being performed.
  • At all times enforce the use of appropriate PPE for the task being performed.
  • Clearly understand and implement Royal’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct weekly safety meeting.
  • Lead Stretch & Flex daily.
  • Ensure forklift inspections are completed daily.
  • Ensure the shop remains a safe work environment utilizing LEAN techniques.

Build the people within the Prefabrication team to facilitate their growth and their capabilities

  • Openly and actively communicate, coach and develop the Prefabrication team for successful accomplishment of department Key Results and individuals growth within the electrical trade and company.
  • Advise and facilitate the implementation of best practices to increase Royals efficiency, safety practices, and new innovations.
  • Implement the training program for individuals within the prefabrication department to help facilitate the next generation of the electrical trade.

Utilize all available resources for Prefabrication Order Fulfillment which ensures accurate and timely delivery

  • Properly allocate personnel based on skill, education, and project needs to optimize staffing efficiency.
  • Receive, plan, implement, track, and ensure delivery of all fabrication orders to Royal standards and on the appropriate timeline.
  • Ensure Prefabrication Team collaborates with other internal departments for resource needs for project (manpower, equipment, prefab, VC).
  • Implement the Quality Control systems to Royal standards.

Lean Manufacturing Techniques understood and practiced

  • Promote and ensure work areas demonstrate efficient work practices.
  • Utilize Lean methodology in all practices.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Construction Trade
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a pre-fabrication position, or a related field

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Strong understanding of safety policies and procedures, and the ability to promote a safe work environment.
  • Skilled in the proper use of tools and equipment for prefabrication tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for developing team members.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal departments and field teams.
  • Knowledge and practice of Lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in order fulfillment and project execution.
  • Mentorship skills and the ability to encourage growth and development of a team
  • The ability to address issues proactively and plan ahead for all outcomes

Safety & Physical Requirements

  • Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • Sit, stand, and walk during the duration of the workday.
  • Will lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and reach.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Salary Details

  • $35.00/HR - $45.00/HR
    • This an hourly/non-exempt position
