Job description

Maintenance Technician- 3rd Shift

About the Role
In this role, the Mechanical Technician will be responsible for the efficient and accurate maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical equipment on-site, while ensuring a safe, organized, and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate should reside in the Dover, DE area or be comfortable commuting to the location.
Schedule: 10:30PM-7:00AM
What You Will Do
  • An Employee with uncompromised commitment to our I Care journey which ensures a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
  • Works within Essity safety standards, with responsibility for personal and others' safety
  • Conducts regular inspections and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation
  • Troubleshoots mechanical issues and diagnose problems in machinery and related systems.
  • Repairs or replaces worn or malfunctioning parts and equipment.
  • Reads and interprets engineering blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Documents maintenance and repair work, creating detailed reports
  • Sets up and calibrates new equipment following manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Implements preventive maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend machinery lifespan
  • Uses specialized tools for mechanical system adjustments
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Who You Are
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and mechanical education
  • Hands-on experience through internships or previous roles in mechanical settings
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements relevant to the field through training and workshops
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills
  • Basic mathematical and literacy skills
  • Ability to lift and frequently stand, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay begins at $27.61 per hour + shift differential + full benefits, with the opportunity for higher pay based on experience and qualifications
