Job description

Do you have the operational expertise to lead a busy moving companyโ€™s operations and keep day-to-day activities running smoothly in San Antonio?


We are currently working with a growing moving and relocation company seeking to hire a new Branch Operations Manager in San Antonio, TX. This is a leadership position, overseeing the day-to-day branch operations, ensuring standards are kept, schedules are followed, and the customers are satisfied with their household goods and commercial office moves.


Ideal candidates for this role will have:

  • Previous Operations Manager experience or similar within the moving and relocation industry.
  • Strong knowledge of dispatching, as well as branch, fleet and warehouse operations.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with both Residential and Commercial moving processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs when required.
  • Experience with military moves and relocations (Ideal)


Day-to-Day Branch Operations Manager duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the warehouse, driver and operations teams and the day-to-day operations.
  • Scheduling for and dispatching crews for local to long distance moves.
  • Hiring and training new team members, processing their paperwork and processing weekly payroll.
  • Monitoring the warehouse and ensuring that health and safety standards are being kept.
  • Monitoring the branchโ€™s performance and KPIs, creating reports and recommendations for improvements.
  • Working closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure that the customerโ€™s needs are being met throughout the moving process.
