How does a managed staffing professional typically collaborate with hiring managers and client teams during the recruitment process?

Managed Staffing professionals work closely with hiring managers and client stakeholders to understand specific staffing needs, define role requirements, and establish timelines for recruitment. They often facilitate communication between candidates and client teams, ensuring that expectations are aligned and that the hiring process runs smoothly. Regular check-ins, status updates, and feedback sessions are common practices, helping to quickly address any changes or challenges that arise. This collaborative approach helps streamline placements and builds strong, long-term client relationships.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in managed staffing, and why are they important?

To thrive in Managed Staffing, you need expertise in talent acquisition, workforce planning, and a solid understanding of staffing industry practices, often backed by a degree in human resources or business. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HR management software, and relevant certifications such as SHRM or ASA are commonly expected. Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation ability, and adaptability help build relationships with clients and candidates while efficiently managing changing demands. These skills enable the effective placement of talent, drive client satisfaction, and ensure organizational workforce needs are met seamlessly.

What is managed staffing?

Managed staffing is a workforce solution where a third-party provider oversees and manages an organization's temporary and contract workforce needs. This approach helps businesses streamline hiring, reduce administrative burdens, and ensure compliance with labor laws. Managed staffing providers handle recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and sometimes training for contingent workers, allowing companies to focus on their core operations. It's commonly used by organizations seeking flexibility and scalability in their staffing strategies.

About the Role

iCode is expanding nationwide, and we are seeking a motivated Junior Franchise Sales Manager to support the growth of new iCode School franchises across the U.S. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will manage the full franchise sales process—from qualified lead engagement to contract execution.

This role is ideal for an up-and-coming sales professional who is disciplined, relationship-driven, and excited to grow a career in franchise development. Your work will directly influence company growth, revenue, and market expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full franchise sales cycle to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing franchisees.

  • Support planning and execution of Discovery Days.

  • Work closely with marketing and external lead-gen partners to optimize pipeline flow.

  • Coordinate with operations, real estate, and legal teams to meet franchise development timelines.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local franchise laws and disclosure regulations.

  • Track, analyze, and forecast sales activity and budgets to identify growth opportunities.

Qualifications
  • 1–5 years of sales or business development experience (franchise or multi-unit sales preferred, but junior profiles with stable history are eligible).

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven ability to represent a brand with professionalism and integrity.

  • Competitive, goal-driven, and highly organized.

  • Hands-on experience with marketing or lead-generation strategies a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM tools.
