Our client is a rapidly growing, $2+ billion transportation and logistics company offering nearly every mode of transportation under one roof. Through its extensive network of railroads, terminals, ports, warehousing operations, and logistics services, They provides customers with comprehensive supply chain solutions across North America.

The Houston Greensport operation is strategically located on the Port of Houston and represents one of the company's most exciting growth opportunities.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead and expand its Houston Greensport operation. This individual will inherit an established branch generating approximately $1.2 million in monthly revenue and will be responsible for driving growth, developing talent, and maximizing the value of Watco's multimodal transportation capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced transportation leader to build and scale a branch with significant growth potential while leveraging the company's extensive service offerings, including truckload, drayage, barge, and international transportation solutions.

No book of business is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Houston branch.
  • Manage and develop a team consisting of account managers and operations personnel.
  • Grow the office from its current size to support future expansion.
  • Oversee transportation solutions across van, reefer, flatbed, and drayage operations.
  • Partner closely with barge, marine, and international divisions to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Develop existing customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional growth.
  • Ensure operational excellence and profitability.
  • Drive branch performance and achieve EBITDA goals.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop future leaders within the organization.
  • Collaborate with other divisions to provide multimodal transportation solutions.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience within transportation, logistics, or freight brokerage.
  • Leadership experience managing teams or operations.
  • Strong knowledge of truckload transportation, brokerage, and supply chain operations.
  • Experience with multiple modes of transportation is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to build customer relationships and drive growth.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and make strategic decisions.
