Position Title Associate, Bookstore Sales Position Type Part Time Regular Annual Schedule N/A Expected Work Schedule Variable Anticipated Days Variable Anticipated Hours 10am - 5pm, with occasional 11am-6pm Anticipated Hours per Week up to 29 Work Location A-B Tech Main Campus Job Description Summary
This position serves as cashier, customer service, assists with stocking the store and other duties as assigned.
Duties
1. Assists customers with textbooks and supplies.
2. Rings up sales on the cash register.
3. Assists with the unpacking, stocking and processing of textbooks, clothing, supplies and food items.
4. Maintains bookstore supply and convenience shelves, restock as needed.
5. Stocks textbook shelves and assists with returning textbooks when needed,
6. Works additional hours during January and August.
7. Contributes to the College Vision, Mission, Values, and RISE statement.
8. Supports workforce diversity in all its aspects.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements (Applicant must meet all of the minimum requirements)
1. High school diploma or its equivalent;
2. Two years of part-time or equivalent retail experience;
3. Two years of part-time or equivalent customer service experience;
4. Cash handling experience;
5. Experience in fast-paced environment;
6. Experience working with a demographically diverse population.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience working in college bookstore;
2. Experience using BookLog;
3. Proficiency in a foreign language such as Spanish, an East Slavic language, and/or American Sign Language.
