We are looking for a skilled tax preparer to review tax returns for our clients. You will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, including items such as sales tax, income tax, payroll taxes, and federal and state corporate tax forms. We’re looking for someone who is detail oriented, has a high level of accuracy, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review individual and business tax returns with clients
  • Prepare sales and individual income tax returns
  • Prepare payroll taxes
  • Prepare corporate taxes
  • Submit tax returns on time according to established standards
  • Maintain appropriate records on client files
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting preferred.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with Peachtree and QuickBooks or other accounting software preferred. Knowledge of Federal & State Tax Law. Knowledge of QuickBooks Online is a plus!
