Description

Xtend is seeking an Operations Coordinator for our Bookkeeping Team to help oversee the day-to-day accounting operations that support credit unions across the country. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting or bookkeeping professional who enjoys coaching others, solving complex financial issues, and ensuring exceptional service for clients. In this role, you'll combine hands-on accounting work with leadership responsibilities by coordinating workflows, supporting teammates, improving processes, and serving as the go-to resource for complex reconciliation and balancing issues.


What You'll Do

  • Coordinate daily accounting operations for assigned credit union clients. 
  • Monitor workloads and ensure daily and month-end deadlines are met. 
  • Review general ledger balancing, exception processing, and reconciliation activities for accuracy. 
  • Conduct quality assurance audits of end-of-day and end-of-month processing. 
  • Assist with training, coaching, and development of Accounting Operations Specialists. 
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex balancing and reconciliation issues. 
  • Respond to client questions and resolve issues through Zendesk. 
  • Help maintain operational procedures, documentation, and processing guides. 
  • Support staffing coverage and provide hands-on accounting assistance when needed. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance service quality. 

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. 
  • Two or more years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial operations experience, preferably within a credit union or financial institution. 
  • Strong understanding of general ledger balancing and financial reconciliations. 
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines. 
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to coach and support teammates. 
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and exceptional client service.
