Job description

Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist (CPA Firm)

Jacksonville, FL | Remote (Florida) or In-Office/ Hybrid
$55,000 - $72,000 DOE
Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week



We're seeking an experienced Payroll & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our clients growing CPA firm.


You'll manage payroll for multiple clients, assist with bookkeeping, and provide exceptional client service in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Process full-cycle payroll for multiple clients
  • Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns
  • Set up payroll and import payroll data into QuickBooks Online
  • Respond to IRS and Florida Department of Revenue payroll notices
  • Assist with workers' compensation and liability insurance audits
  • Prepare and review annual 1099s
  • Perform Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties
  • Assist with QuickBooks Online bookkeeping


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of payroll and accounting experience
  • Strong ADP experience required
  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Payroll tax filings required
  • Experience with multiple payroll platforms
  • Knowledge of payroll deductions, 401(k), and employee benefits
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent


Preferred

  • CPA or accounting firm experience
  • Multi-state payroll experience
  • QuickBooks Online bookkeeping experience
