Job description

Leading Civil Engineering Firm, with offices in Frederick, Maryland and Washington DC is seeking a full-time administrative assistant in our Washington DC office. This is a great opportunity for Mid-level, detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-motivated individual. Prior experience with civil engineering firm preferred.

Full-time employment

Responsibilities:

  • 3-5 years of experience in administrative role
  • Provide general administrative support and document management including, but not limited to, emailing, scanning, copying, mailing, project filing/organization, permitting and bookkeeping
  • Order and maintain inventory of office, kitchen, and field supplies
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Room for growth and learning opportunities

Experience Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to operate effectively and efficiently with little supervision
  • Courteous and professional point of contact
  • Exhibit high level of client focus representing the branch manager
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
  • Must be proficient with software such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Ability to assist engineers with multiple ongoing projects, establish and adjust to rapidly evolving priorities
  • Assist engineers with permit processing, invoicing, and project coordination
  • Excellent written, oral communication skills and phone etiquette
  • Must possess valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening checks
