Financial Operations Specialist
Job Purpose
As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our company. This position helps ensure payments, transactions, and financial records are processed accurately while providing support to key Finance team functions.
You'll work closely with internal teams, dealers, and vendors to resolve questions, maintain accurate records, and help keep important financial processes running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and being part of a team that values accuracy and collaboration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Credit Card Operations
  • Coordinate daily credit card processing to ensure transactions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Review and research transaction differences, chargebacks, and other payment-related questions.
  • Record and reconcile credit card activity within financial systems.
  • Monitor account activity and assist with identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide support and timely responses to dealer, vendor, and internal team questions related to credit card activity.
Finance Operations Support
  • Provide backup support for Bill of Lading (BOL) processing and Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) activities.
  • Assist with reviewing and correcting processing errors or discrepancies.
  • Support team members during busy periods, vacations, and other times when additional assistance is needed.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Assist with month-end activities, special projects, and process improvements.
  • Learn additional Finance functions to provide well-rounded department support.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting, banking, finance, bookkeeping, or a related area preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to organize work, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Comfortable working with financial information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a variety of teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience with financial systems or ERP software is a plus.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
