Job description

Boarhog LLC is seeking a conscientious, diligent, thorough, detail-oriented Full Cycle Job Cost Bookkeeper/Accountant who may work remotely as well as in Boarhog's office in San Diego.

This is a full time position performing accounting functions including Accounts Receivable (A/R), payroll, timecards, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, expense reports and monthly close of books, including the specific following elements:
1) Invoice Generation and Tracking: Creating and distributing invoices to customers and tracking their status.
2) Payment Recording: Recording payments received from customers and applying them to the appropriate invoices.
3) Reconciliation: Reconciling A/R records with bank statements and other financial data.
4) Aging Reports: Analyzing A/R data to track and identify outstanding invoices and assess the risk of non-payment.
5) Collections: Following up with customers on overdue invoices and implementing collection procedures.

The Bookkeeper/Accountant is expected to dependably and reliably perform the following :
1) Manage Boarhog’s Quickbooks, perform data entry of banking transactions, accounts payable, credit card transactions, sync timecards through HTS into Quickbooks and verify accuracy of timecards with Management, and complete reconciliations.
2) Set up new employees and update current employees in T-Sheets for job codes and payroll; will work closely with Office Admin to verify employee information needed in accounting system and timekeeping system.
3) Meticulously prepare invoices for various contracts and submit to customers in a timely manner, then track accounts receivable and produce an accurate and complete aging report.
4) Process payroll and reconcile to timecards and books with proper job costing of labor and expenses
5) Review of expense reports submitted for per diem and math; verify employee time to corresponding travel
6) Assist with spend plans and monthly status reports with financial inputs to customers and reconcile to billing

Successful performance includes:
1) Processing payroll twice a month by importing timesheet information into Quickbooks
2) Timely identification and resolution of timesheet discrepancies, then collaborate with the Director of Operations to address unresolved discrepancies toward ensuring accuracy and completeness.
3) Proactively add and remove associates in the timesheet system to include assigning the appropriate charge codes
4) Track and maintain accurate and complete PTO balances.
5) Process expense reports, verify per diems and review for accuracy
6) Assure the Director of Operations that Boarhog associates working direct on contracts are charging time correctly
7) Process 401k retirement system actions by payroll date
8) Monitor contract performance, track deliverables (e.g. spend plans, MSRs), and prepare reports on contract status.
9) Maintain accurate contract records and documentation in accordance with company policies and government regulations.

1) BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus, or equivalent experience in the workplace is acceptable.
2) Knowledge and experience with federal government contracts, the FAR, government accounting and job costing
2) Experience with both CPFF and T&M accounting
