Description

The Event Logistics Intern plays a vital role in supporting the success of our nationwide meal packing events. This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in event coordination and nonprofit operations, with a particular focus on travel planning and logistics. The intern will be responsible for booking transportation and accommodations for our team, ensuring efficient and cost-effective travel that aligns with event schedules and organizational goals.


In addition to travel coordination, the Event Logistics Intern will work closely with our network of community partners who pick up meals from our events for distribution. This includes communicating logistical event details and building relationships. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping communities in need through behind-the-scenes support that makes a real difference.

Main Responsibilities

  • Travel Planning
    • Planning and booking of all travel accommodations
    • Ensure travel schedules align with the event schedules and that there are no conflicts
    • Monitor travel expenses to stay within a provided budget
    • Build itineraries for the traveling teams
    • Develop recommendations to optimize travel operations based on trends and forecasts
  • Coordinating with Community Distribution Partners
    • Review network applications to receive meals from our events
    • Build relationships with partners
    • Coordinate and oversee meal distribution partner pickups from our events
    • Create an impact report to share with internal and external stakeholders as a capstone project
