Job description

Description:

Under regular supervision, installs equipment on new snow and ice truck packages. Read instructions, utilize hand and power tools to install and connect equipment on new truck packages. Fabricates and welds parts to complete the installation of equipment on new truck packages. Well versed in undertaking non-standard applications.


Schedule (4 Day Work Weeks):

  • Monday-Thursday 5:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. OR
  • Tuesday-Friday 5:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • VOLUNTARY OT available

Pay Rate: $22.00-$26.75.hr


Essential Functions


Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assemble and install complete body, hydraulic and electrical systems on new truck packages.
  • Operate various hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
  • Will operate welders, torches, plasma cutters, overhead cranes and forklifts as required.
  • Read and interpret work instruction(s) both written and verbal in order to install, fasten and connect parts.
  • Visually inspect previous installation(s) and inspect own work using detailed quality inspection forms.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Uses technology to document completed installation.
  • Communicates with supervisor/parts coordinator to ensure proper parts are supplied for current and upcoming jobs.
  • Quality driven for best customer service experience.
  • Goal orientated to be self-motivated to meet budgeted hours to complete jobs.
  • Provide assistance to co-workers as requested by department foreman or lead.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. TOOLS ARE PROVIDED!

This is a full-time position. Your manager will provide you with the specific details of your schedule. The schedule is subject to change due to customer requirements or business needs. Overtime may be necessary to handle emergencies, heavy workloads or other issues.
