We are currently seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to join our large Skilled Nursing Facility in the Lincoln, NE area. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive organization offering competitive pay, growth potential, and a warm working environment.
The Business Office Manager will oversee the daily operations of the business office and will have an Assistant BOM reporting directly to them. We are looking for someone with prior Skilled Nursing Facility BOM experience, strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing, and experience managing collections and billing workflows.
Responsibilities
โข Meet with residents and families to discuss financial obligations and payment options
โข Assist families with the Medicaid application process and gather required documentation
โข Verify insurance coverage and eligibility
โข Manage private pay collections and outstanding balances
โข Input census information into billing and clinical software systems
โข Assist with insurance authorization processes
โข Participate in Triple Check meetings and Medicare weekly meetings
โข Manage and distribute resident trust funds
โข Ensure all admission agreements are completed and signed
โข Supervise and support the Assistant Business Office Manager
โข Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications
โข Prior Business Office Manager experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required
โข Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance plans
โข Experience with collections, Triple Check, and Medicare meetings
โข Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Excel a plus
โข Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with residents and families
โข Highly organized, detail-oriented, and computer proficient (Microsoft Office)
