The Boiler Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient operation of boiler systems within commercial buildings and residential settings. Working primarily within small maintenance teams, this role requires hands-on expertise in inspection, maintenance, and repairs, often involving frequent travel and on-call availability to handle emergency situations.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect boiler equipment regularly to identify issues and ensure optimal performance
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and operational problems in boiler systems
  • Install new boiler equipment and components following safety and technical standards
  • Troubleshoot complex system faults using hand and power tools
  • Conduct system testing after maintenance or installation to verify functionality
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
