Position Summary

The Back of House (BOH) Kitchen Team Member is responsible for executing Houston TX Hot Chicken’s food with accuracy, consistency, and speed. This role includes food preparation, breading, frying, plating support, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. BOH team members are critical to food quality, ticket times, and overall guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to HHC recipes and procedures

  • Follow proper breading, frying, and holding procedures to ensure food quality and safety

  • Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service periods

  • Communicate clearly with the expo and front of house team regarding ticket flow and order status

  • Properly season, portion, and plate food to brand standards

  • Complete prep tasks accurately using the HHC recipe book and prep guides

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen stations throughout the shift

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control standards

  • Properly label, rotate, and store food using FIFO principles

  • Assist with dishwashing, trash removal, and end-of-shift cleaning duties

  • Support teammates and maintain a team-first mindset during busy shifts
