Job description

Compensation: $60,000-$80,000 base + uncapped bonuses (top earners $100k+)
Schedule: Full-time • Monday-Friday • 8am-5pm • Hybrid Field & Inside Sales Role
Tri-State Bobcat is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to grow a high-opportunity territory selling industry-leading compact construction equipment. This role is a balanced mix of field-based customer engagement and inside sales activity, with time spent in the field or in the dealership driven by customer needs, lead flow, and business priorities. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in both relationship-driven field sales and proactive, organized inside sales execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow an assigned sales territory through a combination of job-site visits, dealership-based sales activity, and outbound outreach
  • Develop new business and support existing accounts through consultative selling and long-term relationship building
  • Prospect and qualify customers via phone, email, CRM-driven follow-up, referrals, and in-person meetings
  • Conduct equipment demonstrations and confidently operate machinery at customer locations when needed
  • Prepare accurate proposals, purchase agreements, and financing documentation
  • Maintain detailed CRM notes and track sales activity to ensure consistent follow-up and pipeline visibility
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and marketing on lead generation and campaign follow-up
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth equipment delivery and high customer satisfaction
  • Participate in ongoing training, including occasional out-of-state sessions
  • Represent Tri-State Bobcat at trade shows, field events, and customer-facing activities

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of equipment, construction, heavy equipment, or industrial sales preferred
  • Demonstrated success in both field sales and inside/phone-based sales environments
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first, consultative approach
  • Highly organized and able to balance time between field activity and dealership-based work
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; comfortable learning CRM and sales tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to travel locally, with limited out-of-state travel
