The Position
The Boarding Paralegal will be responsible for managing the initial stages of foreclosure cases, including data input, document review, and file management. This role involves ensuring that loan data is accurately entered into CaseAware and other systems, processing status changes, and managing incoming mail. Experience with BKFS/Tempo and a background in both foreclosure and bankruptcy is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and establish new case files and ensure proper organization and categorization of all associated documents.
  • Review loan documents received to verify completeness and determine if additional documents are required.
  • Input client and case information in the firm's case management system, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process and update file status changes, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Categorize and process incoming mail related to foreclosure and bankruptcy cases.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but relevant experience in the industry will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in default services, with experience in both foreclosure and bankruptcy preferred.
  • Proficiency in CaseAware and familiarity with BKFS/Tempo is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
