Board of Directors Recruitment Announcement
United American Indian Involvement, Inc. (UAII) is seeking qualified and committed leaders to
join our Board of Directors. As the largest Native-led Urban Indian health and social services
organization in Los Angeles, UAII is guided by Indigenous values, community accountability,
and a mission to strengthen the wellbeing and self-determination of American Indian and Alaska
Native people.
We are currently recruiting Board candidates with demonstrated expertise in the following areas:
• Contracts and Grants Administration
• Healthcare Clinic Operations
• Healthcare Compliance
Requirements
Candidates must be able to demonstrate professional experience working in Urban Native or
Tribal communities, with a strong understanding of culturally grounded service delivery,
community needs, and Indigenous governance principles.
In addition, one of the healthcare-focused candidates will have the opportunity to support the
development and recruitment of a new UAII Healthcare Committee, helping to strengthen
oversight, quality, and culturally informed healthcare strategy across the organization.
