The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring an exemplary experience for the service customer by providing a prompt and friendly greeting, listening to their description of problems or services needed, preparing repair orders and being proactive, accurate and thorough in communication. The Service Advisors serves as a liaison between customer and technician ensuring the customer's needs are understood by the technician and the recommended service and/or repairs are understood by the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with customers and determine their needs for repair and/or service of their vehicle issues
  • Prepare accurate Repair Orders showing time, cost and labor estimates, verifying warranty and service contracts and reviewing with clients
  • Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day and update customers frequently
  • Increase profitability by maximizing sales by promoting the sale of labor, parts and accessories by providing explanation of estimates and obtaining approval for work that is sold

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor preferred

Pay: $60,000 - $200,000 / year is the expected total annual earnings after factoring in all forms of compensation including hourly pay, commissions, overtime, benefits (vacation and sick), etc. Employees in this position will primarily be paid commissions based on performance but will also be paid minimum wage for non-sales work and for rest periods. Commissions range from $54,000 to $191,000 per year based on performance.
