PROJECT MANAGER ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

  • ORGANIZES CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS byaccepting new projects from Administration; collecting andcompleting all needed project documentation; analyzingconstruction project timelines; understanding projectrequirements, collaborating with Operation Supervisor onneeded commissioning workload timeline; conferring andcollaborating with engineering and programming team asneeded for proper scheduling.
  • HIRES ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTORS byreviewing competitive bid information; communicating withSales as necessary; creating and maintaining propersubcontract documentation; enforcing proper execution ofsubcontract document.
  • DIRECTS ELECTRICAL SUBCONTRACTORS byreviewing project information, subcontract and specificationswith subcontractor; communicating project timelineinformation; prioritizing areas of completion; answeringquestions to assure proper installation; enforcing properinstallation methods; verify completion of projectdocumentation.
  • ORDERS PROJECT MATERIAL bycompleting proper material requisition documents for Part Distribution; selecting and coordinating with the panel builder;scheduling delivery of material with site needs; communicatingwith customer as to necessary storage of material.

  • COMMUNICATES PROJECT INFORMATION bycommunicating as needed with Engineering/Programming,Technicians and Ops Management team as to constructionprogress; performing periodic jobsite visit; documenting jobsitevisits; attending necessary jobsite meetings; updating anyproject deadline information; advising as to any changes inschedule or change orders; prices and directs change ordersas needed.
  • COMPLETES CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS byassisting technicians with organizing, prioritizing andscheduling start-up assignments; assisting coordination between technicians Engineers and Programmers for neededmodifications and corrections; acceptingturnover documentation from Technicians for project close-out; preparingproject close-out documentation; transferring needed As-builtdata to Engineering/Programming; completing Service turnover documentation;completing Owner Training.
  • ACHIEVES FINANCIAL OBJECTIVES bycollaborating with Ops management team by reviewing monthlyjob labor cost reports; initiating corrective actions as directed.
  • MAINTAINS INDUSTRY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE byattending approved educational workshops; reviewingindustry publications; maintaining knowledge on proper electrical and mechanicalinstallation methods; maintaining knowledge of projectmanagement issues (i.e. contract negotiation).
  • MENTORING LESS SENIOR PROJECT MANAGERS byassisting in the recruiting and training of new employees (asneeded); sharing technical knowledge; sharing installationknowledge.
  • PROVIDING QUALITY CONTROL OF INSTALLATIONS bycomplying with and enforcing needed project safetyrequirements; critiquing and enforcing proper and safecommissioning methods; verifying conformance for properproject commissioning documentation; verifying completion ofall project tasks; communicating needed corrections instandards to Ops Management Team.
