Job description

We are seeking a BMS Superintendent to lead on-site Building Management System (BMS) installation activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating subcontractors, overseeing controls installations, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and supporting project schedules from installation through commissioning.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day field execution of BMS installation activities

  • Coordinate controls integrators, electrical contractors, and field teams

  • Oversee installation of control panels, sensors, field devices, and network infrastructure

  • Ensure installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations

  • Collaborate with project leadership to maintain schedules and resolve field issues

  • Support commissioning readiness, punch list completion, and project closeout

  • Maintain field documentation, redlines, and progress reporting

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in building automation, controls installation, or MEP construction

  • Hands-on experience with BMS/DDC and PLC-based systems such as Siemens or Allen-Bradley

  • Ability to read construction drawings, control diagrams, and schematics

  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and field teams on active construction projects

  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and integrated building controls

  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

Preferred Experience
  • Data center or mission-critical construction experience

  • Familiarity with commissioning and system startup processes

  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms
