Event Vice President - INTERPHEX

Are you excited by the opportunity to lead and grow INTERPHEX, a flagship event serving the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology community?
Do you enjoy turning market insight into standout experiences and measurable commercial growth?

About Interphex
INTERPHEX is the leading global pharmaceutical and biotechnology event, bringing together industry innovation, expert-led education, and business connections across the pharmaceutical product development lifecycle. The event connects pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and biologics, biotechnology, and related life-sciences manufacturing professionals with suppliers and partners spanning bioprocessing, automation, instrumentation, cleanroom solutions, contract manufacturing and outsourcing, packaging, compliance, and API/raw materials.

About the Role
As the Event Vice President, you will lead the strategy, delivery, and growth of INTERPHEX within the RX Global portfolio. You will set the vision for the brand and event experience, translate market and customer insight into a differentiated offering, and align cross-functional teams around strong commercial and customer outcomes. This role combines strategic leadership, market development, and hands-on delivery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a clear strategic business plan that grows INTERPHEX's market relevance, audience, revenue, and customer value

  • Lead end-to-end event planning and delivery, including positioning, budgeting, forecasting, program development, onsite execution, and post-event evaluation

  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, market drivers, emerging technologies, manufacturing priorities, regulatory developments, and the competitive landscape across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology ecosystem

  • Translate industry insight into a compelling event experience, including education, show-floor features, demonstrations, networking, partnerships, and other programs spanning the product development lifecycle

  • Lead and influence across a matrix of teams, including sales, marketing, content, operations, registration, digital, and leadership, to align priorities and ensure seamless execution

  • Strengthen the value proposition for exhibitors, sponsors, attendees, and partners, using market segmentation and customer insight to support sales strategy and audience growth

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturers, CMOs and CDMOs, suppliers, associations, media, thought leaders, advisory groups, exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees

  • Identify new growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, and emerging market segments that can expand INTERPHEX's reach and commercial impact

  • Manage budgets and performance against agreed financial, commercial, and customer KPIs, using data and feedback to guide decisions and continuous improvement

  • Represent INTERPHEX at relevant industry events, customer meetings, and networking opportunities to strengthen visibility, credibility, and relationships

Requirements

  • Experience leading and delivering B2B events or trade shows, with accountability for strategic and commercial outcomes

  • Strong commercial acumen and experience with business planning, budgeting, forecasting, revenue growth, and performance management

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or biologics, biotechnology, or related life-sciences manufacturing and outsourcing markets is a strong plus, but not required

  • Ability to quickly learn a complex, technical, and highly regulated market; synthesize industry information; and become a credible partner to customers and internal teams

  • Strong project leadership skills, with the ability to manage complex timelines, competing priorities, and multiple stakeholders

  • Confidence working in a matrix environment, setting direction, influencing without direct authority, and aligning cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills and comfort engaging with senior customers, partners, associations, thought leaders, and other industry stakeholders

  • Clear, confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate insight into practical plans and compelling value propositions

  • An entrepreneurial, creative, and solutions-focused mindset, with sound judgment, attention to detail, adaptability, and resilience under pressure

  • Willingness to travel and occasionally work non-traditional hours aligned with INTERPHEX and other relevant event schedules
