Job description

About the Role

iCapital is looking for a Vice President to join its Hedge Fund Finance team to focus on Hedge Fund Accounting and Administration duties. This individual will work closely with other team members, vendors, senior management, and clients on a variety of accounting and reporting processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of private equity and hedge fund feeder funds.
  • Work with the Implementation teams with regards to new business and fund launches.
  • Review feeder fund draft documents (LPA/PPM) as well as underlying fund operational questionnaires prior to fund launch. Provide feedback to internal legal or fund origination teams if there is anything that should be considered from a fund finance perspective.
  • Review monthly and/or quarterly feeder fund NAV and partners' capital account statement issuance by the team and track KPIs.
  • Review and sign-off on capital call and distribution cash analysis, investor allocation files and notices prepared by third party admins and Associate or Assistant Vice President members of the Fund Finance team.
  • Participate in management-level meetings internally and externally.
  • Facilitate and work with the Technology and Product teams to drive process automation and efficiency.
  • Monitor fund's compliance with the partnership operating agreement terms.
  • Oversee the funds' progress on preparation of annual fund financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Help prepare and oversee other periodic and ad hoc reporting in collaboration with compliance, legal and other internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 10-15 years of fund management accounting and operations experience with a focus on alternatives
  • Advanced degree and credentials, or progress towards MBA, CPA, CFA, or CAIA designation is a plus
  • Passion for the application of innovative technology
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment
  • Organized and detail oriented with big picture capability

Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $125,000 to $155,000.  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
