We’re looking for a Field Service Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership, and is passionate about solving complex technical challenges. This role requires a highly motivated professional who can work independently, provide exceptional service, and ensure our clinics have the tools and technology they need to deliver outstanding results to our clients.

About the Role

The Field Service Technician plays a critical role in supporting Milan’s nationwide clinic network by diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced laser equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting operational continuity through preventative maintenance, compliance testing, and expert technical support.

From on-site repairs and equipment calibration to clinic relationship management and process improvement, you’ll serve as a trusted technical expert and brand ambassador. Your work will directly impact clinic performance, team productivity, and the client experience across the organization.

This role requires extensive travel (up to 100% Monday–Friday) and flexibility to support urgent service needs, including occasional after-hours and weekend work. Typical work week travel often includes departing Monday morning and returning Friday evening, depending on business needs, assignment locations, and travel schedules.

Candidates must reside in a state where Milan Laser Hair Removal operates clinics and live within 60 miles of a major U.S. airport.

What You’ll Do

  • Equipment Repair & Technical Support
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair advanced laser, electrical, mechanical, and high-voltage systems
    • Perform preventative maintenance and recommend proactive solutions to extend equipment lifespan
    • Serve as the primary technical contact during on-site clinic visits
    • Provide white-glove service and educate clinic teams on equipment best practices
    • Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues requiring advanced expertise
  • Calibration, Compliance & Safety
    • Conduct calibrations, testing, and verification procedures to ensure equipment performance and compliance
    • Maintain audit-ready documentation and inspection records
    • Ensure adherence to FDA, OSHA, and company safety standards
    • Identify and mitigate risks related to equipment servicing and clinic environments
  • Field Operations & Problem Solving
    • Independently manage service routes and prioritize urgent repair requests
    • Adapt quickly to changing schedules and service demands
    • Balance technical, operational, and business priorities while working with minimal supervision
    • Deliver timely and consistent service across a geographically dispersed clinic network
  • Documentation & Asset Management
    • Maintain accurate service records, inventory updates, and repair documentation within CRM and ERP systems
    • Create detailed service reports and identify trends impacting clinic operations
    • Manage field tools, replacement parts, and equipment inventory
    • Coordinate shipping, returns, and logistics for service-related materials
  • Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
    • Partner with clinic teams to ensure a positive service experience
    • Capture feedback and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement
    • Support onboarding and development of new technicians through mentoring and training
    • Contribute to service documentation, knowledge bases, and best-practice resources

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of mechanical, electrical, biomedical, or related field service experience required
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment systems
  • Expertise with high-voltage and Class 4 laser systems preferred
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, schematics, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • Experience with ERP and inventory management systems preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure situations
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles from major providers
  • Residence within 60 minutes of a major U.S. airport
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional weekends and after-hours support
