Job description

About the Role
At Healthcare.com, we're looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Billing Representative who thrives on solving problems, uncovering solutions, and making a meaningful impact. In this role, you'll help ensure patients receive the medications they need by researching claims, resolving billing issues, and driving timely reimbursement.
Working across multiple platforms-including Liberty, DaisyBill, accounts receivable (AR) tools, email, and phone systems-you'll investigate claims, resolve denials, manage aging accounts, and perform critical pre-dispensing verification. If you're someone who enjoys digging into details, taking ownership of your work, and seeing accounts through to resolution, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
Claims Management & Accounts Receivable
  • Research and resolve denied, underpaid, and outstanding claims.
  • Submit reconsiderations, appeals, and claim resubmissions as appropriate.
  • Manage accounts receivable with a strategic focus on aging balances and timely collections.
  • Audit patient accounts across multiple systems to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Identify billing discrepancies and take ownership of accounts through final resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of account activity and claim status.
Collections & Provider Relations
  • Follow up on outstanding balances with insurance carriers and other payers.
  • Communicate with attorneys regarding litigated claims to obtain case updates and facilitate payment.
  • Request Letters of Medical Necessity (LMNs) and supporting documentation from treating physicians.
  • Build positive working relationships with internal teams, providers, and external partners to resolve billing issues efficiently.
Pre-Dispensing Verification
  • Complete billing verification before medication is dispensed to ensure claims are clean and payable.
  • Verify insurance coverage, authorizations, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to minimize delays and create a seamless patient experience.

Who You Are
  • Experienced in medical billing, pharmacy billing, accounts receivable, or healthcare revenue cycle management.
  • Workers' Compensation and/or DaisyBill experience is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Familiar with Liberty, DaisyBill, or similar pharmacy billing and accounts receivable systems.
  • Skilled at researching and resolving complex billing issues across multiple platforms.
  • An excellent communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Able to prioritize competing responsibilities while effectively managing aging accounts.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Committed to accuracy, accountability, and delivering exceptional service to patients and partners.

Working at HealthCare.com
Great work deserves great rewards. Here's what's waiting for you:
  • Health insurance that actually makes sense - Florida Blue PPO or HSA plan, and we put money in your HSA ($2K for you, $4K if you've got a family). You're literally in the business of healthcare. You deserve good coverage.
  • Dental & vision - Delta Dental, Aetna, or Guardian for your teeth. Aetna/VSP for your eyes. We've got your whole face covered.
  • 401(k) with a match - contribute 6%, we kick in 3%. Eligible upon hire. Your future self will thank you.
  • PTO that respects your life - 15 days a year to start, rolls over, and you don't have to beg for it. Plus paid holidays, because obviously.
  • 8 weeks paid parental leave - new baby, new adoption, new chapter. Take the time. We mean it.
  • Free EAP - confidential support for life's messier moments. Mental health, legal questions, financial stress - covered, no cost, no judgment.
  • Life & AD&D insurance - company-paid, because we've got your back.
  • Working Advantage - free access to exclusive discounts on Disney, Six Flags, NFL tickets, hotels, streaming, dining, and hundreds more. Work hard, play harder.
