Job description

McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Biologic/Infusion Billing Specialist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.
Responsibilities include: performing duties related to pharmaceutical billing, specific physician coding and clinic charging procedures in accordance with McFarland Clinic's Employee-Level Vision Related Behaviors. Duties include: Audit daily charges for infusional therapies. Insurance Precertification of infusional drugs. Counsel patient on cost estimate of treatment. Enroll patients in financial assistance programs as applicable. Serve as a coding and reimbursement resource for the providers and nurses.
Education
  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.
  • Associate degree in business or related field preferred.

Days: Monday - Friday.
Hours: 4-5 hours per day
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in medical experience with exposure to coding activities.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
