Job description

Our client is seeking a Billing Specialist to join their team.

This is a direct hire opportunity where you will earn up to $22/hour, depending on your experience. You will work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday during the day, with flexibility with hours - 7am-4pm, 9am-6pm or 8am-5pm. This position is 100% on site.

Some of your responsibilities as Billing Specialist will include:

  • Analyzing and auditing job content and costs by verifying accuracy of data
  • Accurate and timely analysis of completed production jobs and preparation of billing costs
  • Sending invoices to customers - high volume - up to 30 invoices a day
  • Working with the Accounts Receivable team
  • Processing invoices accurately and timely using verified data
  • Monitoring daily unbilled jobs to ensure timely processing
  • Analyzing prep sheets and old job tickets for comparison and other information
  • Inputting invoice details into accounting software for accurate financial reporting
  • Preparing and maintain records related to billing, such as invoices and other support documents
  • Assisting with data processing including posting receipts, cash transactions and more
  • Contacting and communicating with appropriate parties to clarify billing questions
  • Obtaining or relaying account information
  • Answering any questions from customers, account managers, sales, etc. relating to the job
  • Assisting in maintaining accurate record of company receivables
  • Other duties as assigned

To qualify for the Billing Specialist position, you must have:

  • An Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • 1 - 2+ years of experience working in a billing specialist role preferred
  • Proficiency in 10-key, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook is required
  • Ability to quickly learn various accounting softwares
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization, vendors, and clients
  • Incredible attention to detail and substantial organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to sufficiently analyze information and manage processes
  • Demonstrated professionalism
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Experience with the manufacturing industry is preferred, but not required
