This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Billing Assistant to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or Los Angeles offices.
This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices.
This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Billing Team, including maintenance of work-in-progress records, creating and revising client invoices, and other tasks as assigned. The Billing Assistant will assist with ad hoc reporting requests, time entry updates, and other billing system maintenance tasks.

On a typical day you will:
  • Use Aderant Expert Billing to process prebills and generate invoices in compliance with attorney instructions and client guidelines
  • Provide out-of-office and overflow coverage for Billing Specialists and Billing Proofreaders
  • Work in collaboration with E-Billing Department, Rates Team, and other Finance teams to ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitor, reroute, and assist with tasks in the centralized Billing inbox
  • Provide reporting support to legal assistants and attorneys to meet client-required accrual deadlines
  • Respond to attorney inquiries regarding time entry records and general billing requests
  • Assist with billing system updates such as task and activity codes, narrative edits, and time entry modifications upon request
  • Assist with Finance projects, as needed, to promote best practices
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; adhere to schedule by being timely on breaks, lunches and meetings

Washington State
The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $58,000 to $64,000 ($29.74 to $32.82 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate's education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program. For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include: voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance. Commuter and Transit programs are also available.
California
The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $54,000 to $61,000 ($27.69 to $31.28 hourly); and in San Francisco is $62,000 to $69,000 ($31.79 to 35.38 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
